A Night of Faith and Fellowship: Simbang Gabi Sponsored by Banag-Banag Association

On the 20th of December 2024, the spirit of Filipino tradition and community was alive and vibrant at St Patrick's Church, Mary Queen of the Family Parish, as the Banag-Banag Association, in collaboration with Cofradia Sinulog and Brother Nick Soon's group, came together to sponsor the 4th day of the Simbang Gabi celebration.

Simbang Gabi, a cherished Filipino Christmas tradition, is more than just a series of early morning Masses—it is a spiritual journey that unites families, friends, and the community in prayer, reflection, and hope. That evening, the church was filled with warmth and joy as parishioners gathered to celebrate their faith and culture.

The beautiful Mass was made even more meaningful through the support of the Filipino Chaplaincy of the Diocese of Parramatta, whose dedication and guidance helped bring the event to life. Their efforts ensured that the tradition was not only preserved but shared with the wider community in an atmosphere of reverence and unity.

To everyone who took part, and especially to those who helped make it happen—Daghang Salamat! Your generosity and devotion continue to strengthen our faith and bring us all closer together.
