Philippine Costume Exhibition Banag-banag inc

Banag-Banag Inc. presents the Philippine Costume Exhibition, curated by Dr Arlene Amor, featuring items of ethnic costume and cultural paintings.

The collection is a showcase of the diversity within the Philippine culture. Dr Amor aims to capture how people of the Philippine community are “molded” by their history, culture and religion.

Celebrating its 25th year, Banag-Banag Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation representing the Bisaya-speaking community of the Philippines. The name Banag-Banag is derived from the word “dawn” signifying a vision of a new day, a new beginning so full of hope for the future. The organisation aims to preserve and enrich the cultural heritage, identity and represent a voice for their community.
